I had the extraordinary opportunity to work with Zena Rommett in the late 80s. Although I was in my mid-thirties, I remember feeling that I had never been in better shape than when I was practicing Floor Barre® regularly. I took part in Zena’s very first certification program. After a long hiatus, I returned to re-certify in 2017 and immediately started teaching again. In 2019 I returned to New York from my home in Puerto Rico for my third certification. It was wonderful to reconnect with the work and meet the dedicated Floor-Barre® mentors. I look forward to continuing the Floor-Barre® journey at next summer’s certification. I work with dancers of all levels as well as with non-dancers. It is a joy to share Zena’s work.
